I am a retired old guy who lives in the US, near Seattle, in the state of Washington. I would like to begin a serious study of Lebanon. My favorite western reporter, covering Lebanon is Robert Fisk, of the Independent (UK). My idea is to first read his two works, "Pity the Nation: The Abduction of Lebanon" and "The Great War for Civilisation."
Would people comment on my choices or make other suggestions?
Thanks.
